I upgraded to an eve at best buy and then before my 30 days were up I exchanged for the epic. I am having some problems with it freezing and rebooting on me. It seems to be getting worse. I've do e factory resets and didn't even install any apps and it still does it so I guess I need to get another one. My question is I have both the best buy insurance and sprint. I forgot to cancel the best buy one so which one should I use? I know if I go to sprint they will swap it out for another on but it will be a refurb. What will best buy do? Is there anyway to get a new one? Thanks for the help. Anyone exchanged theres for a refurb one and it's been ok for them?

If purchase of the EPIC 4G is within 30 days then you can exchange it at BestBuy for a new one without having to use insurance.

This shouldn't even be an insurance issue -- this should be a warranty swap. This definitely sounds like a hardware problem of some type and should not have to deal with insurance at all. I would start with Best Buy and if they don't swap a new phone for you, I would then go to a Sprint store.

And no, because this is warranty and not insurance they should give you a new device, not a refurb.

No I'm not in my 30 days. I originally got an evo and traded it in for the epic like 3 days before my 30 days were up. It just locks up when I try to open up certain things and the screen goes black and the phone is unresponsive. Other times it totally backs out of apps when I click them almost like I am hitting the home button. I honestly just don't want a refurb and feel like I should get a new phone since it's not my fault.

If possible I would take it back to a different Best Buy. The store you got it from may have gotten a bad batch.

Shouldn't matter if you are in your 30 days or not, you are within the one year warranty of the Epic. As long as it isn't rooted or running a custom ROM you should be fine with them exchanging it. If not, contact Samsung.

Yeah that's a good idea I'll go to the other best buy around here. I even tried flashing the stock rom again hoping that would fix it but I give up I'm gonna take it in soon and get another one. I hope I don't get any bull**** from best buy Or sprint.
