I have the option of having two..
I dont really care for LTE yet because it is nowhere near strong in my area...
I get max 12mps down
But other than that is the International version worth getting because I would love some quad core goodness.. a mate at work told me it runs so much more cooler and smoother
Should I??

He also mentioned that the international version also had more dev support which is a big plus for me

I know for a fact the international version has a much much more powerful gpu. I tried doing the popup video function on mine, and its freaking lags just from swiping left to right on the homescreens. The international version can still play shadowgun smoothly with the pop up video function.

So i went back to best buy and got the international version of the s3 and honestly i already feel the change.. ive been using my phone for a couple hours now and its snappier. Doesnt studder and it does not get as hot as my at&t counter part... also to me the hspa is as fast as my lte was... at least in my area so i dont notice the change at all. Glad i made the change

International is better IMO for a few reasons.
1) Faster updates from Samsung without dealing with carrier interference
2) More storage options (16, 32, and coming 64) compared to 16 only for AT&T
3) Faster GPU

If it wasn't for LTE being far more reliable in Chicago than AT&T's hit or miss HSPA network I would have gotten the International version in a heartbeat. So for now I live with the i747 until google finds a way to release a GSM Nexus with LTE support.

Im content with the US Version, Short of running hotter than the international one its on par or a bit better, as your not really going to push the 4 cores and have no need for them, 2Gb of ram however make the phone just that much smoother, as far as the Dev Support I really don't have much of an Idea as the sites I've checked seem baron for the AT&T version...., I haven't really taken a look in the International threads....

Day to day use. The i9300 has not studder to handle any task even pulling video in PIP mode. The difference is really noticeable, trust me. But the US s3 is
really really good device I'm not trying to bash it in any way shape or form. Just based on my experience I prefer the i9300

I like my US Galaxy S 3 also. But having the Korean LTE version with Quad-Core & 2GB of Ram would make me feel more safe if I didn't upgrade for a few years.

Can you use Wallet on the 9300?

If you like in an LTE area then I suggest the AT&T version is better.... plus you can get better support locally.... also the 2gb ram makes up for the lack of quad core....

I generally hate threads that compare what is "better" as it completely depends on what is important to you. I decided on the US version because the cost was $400 less on contract (I don't swap phones every 3-4 months), the international version comes AS-IS (no warranty) which means to me if you get a bum one (there seem to be some of those around) you are stuck, and I feel the dual-core 2GB hardware will work nearly as well as the quad-core 1GB hardware. Experience from the Transformer boards indicate that most people could not tell much difference between the TF101 (Tegra 2) and the TF201 (Tegra 3) systems from a performance perspective. The going thought process was the Android OS was really not that well programmed for multi-threading. The gpu issue makes sense since the Tegra 3 is an Nividia chipset and they are very well known for their gpu's.

My thought is that you have to know what is important to you and how much you are willing to pay to get any perceived incremental performance boost.

Well said!!! There is no superior device. Which ever device works for me. I went through a couple of AT&T Galaxy S3's because I swapped back and forth between my iPhone 4S. I found it to be very snappy and an awesome phone. Main reason I went with the AT&T version was because I never experienced AT&T's LTE.

After experiencing LTE speeds throughout the Chicago land area I was quite disappointed. Went back to my 4S and then I realized I really missed rooting my phone and experimenting with custom roms. I just ordered the international verson today off of Expansys. There is a warranty with it, its just through Expansys.

Personally, I am sick to death of AT&T customizing its Android phones with their bloatware and lack of turning off 3G and 4G LTE. I also live in a very good HSPA+ area and we still have no LTE. Since Chicago and all its suburbs only got 10mhz of spectrum I am betting Northwest, Indiana will too. So my 4G LTE speeds won't be that great.

Like I said before I love rooting and customizing my phone so thats a huge reason why I went with the International version. Now if I lived in a full AT&T LTE area with 20Mhz of spectrum I most definitely would have kept the AT&T version.

:D

Both devices have pros and cons. There isn't a winner.

I have the Samsung galaxy iii international version gt i9300

Please tell me that this phone will work in the United States and with att .i took it to the AT&T store, they had no help for me.got everything to work except the data.any suggestions.?
