Which Keyboard do you use?

Been using SwiftKey for more than a year, tried a few others.

Began to realise lately there are compromises in any keyboard layout.
(duh!)

Not crazy about swiping left and right for exclamation and question marks, but I have the arrow keys taking space.
Samsung's layout on the Note 3 is a PITA, so hopefully they have improved as mentioned.

Not got an S6, but may do.

Using SwiftKey on a 'smaller' screen than 5.7 would be a harder test for it, and my fingers. I don't know how I typed on an S2, or do on my Moto G 2013, but I am more inaccurate and hate it.

Come to think of it this may be another factor to push me towards a Note 4 or 5.

I don't know if carriers do 14 day returns in the UK, though I have bought outright in the past when the price drops a little; so it's more of a gamble for me if I end up mistyping constantly on an S6.

so Ive been a swype user for years but Im curious about the swiftkey love im reading about. Being completely uninformed of this keyboard, why would you recommend it over others? text predict? layout?..basically, I am open to switching but would love to hear compelling reasons to do so

I have always been a Google keyboard user but lately I have been using the built in keyboard on my S6

Currently using Google keyboard but I really wish the numbers were present as another row. May jump back to stock keyboard.

Phil from AC has a post explaining how to add the number row on the Google Keyboard. I'm on my phone and unable to share the link, but it does exists. It has to do with changing a setting to have a "desktop" keyboard layout.

Anybody feel SwiftKey has become sluggish. Predictions are still the best but it doesn't seem as quick as Google Keyboard.

Default Samsung Keyboard on the S6 is fantastic. No need for any other keyboard on S6.
On other android phones, I used Google keyboard: material dark.

^^^ I totally agree with this. I just wish you could change the color scheme of the stock samsung keyboard ... but I can live with it as it sits now.

I tried swiftkey since everyone was raving about it but went back to stock, works better for me.

It's been so long since I used the stock app. Swiftkey also has themes and keyboard layout options.

Minuum....it's nice and small and doesn't take up the whole screen. Great for one-handed typing.

I also loved swiftkey when I tried it (used to use swype) but it's a deal breaker that you can't use swyping gestures in pop up text replies. Using TouchPal now and liking it.

I used swiftkey for a long time also. But i loaded it on my s6 and after a few days i went back to google keyboard. Swiftkey is just to sensitive on my s6. I can't type anything in without extra letters or the wrong letters showing up. Found myself having to proof read and correct everything.

I have been using Swype. My fingers can't get the Samsung keyboard to cooperate. I will be trying Swiftkey after reading this post.

Turn off flow if you don't use it. That causes a lot of extra letters and taps because it accidently picks up movements it thinks are swipes.

That being said, I am finding stock and Google more responsive at the moment and will be giving them a look for a bit.
