Android Central Question

What music system do people use on their Samsung/Android phones?

I had an IPhone before so I used ITunes and it worked brilliantly, and seemlessly.
Now I have a Samsung S7 and i like it, but hate the lack of ITunes. I have a Windows 10 PC.

I've tried, and am continuing to try Google Play Music (GPM) but it's not NEARLY so good as ITunes for various reasons, but mainly I've been having huge problems uploading music from my ITunes library, then once I'd managed that after HUGE problems, I'm now trying to add just ONE file (MP3 file) from my computer to GPM and it's stuck on "Processing Music".
I'm finding GPM such a nightmare to use and think there surely MUST be an alternative. (NB I don't want to use Spotify as I have all the music on my computer already).

I'd appreciate advice/help, thanks.

Hi B.Diddy and thanks for your reply.
Yes I was following the instructions in that link (https://support.google.com/googlepla.../4627259?hl=en)
and it worked the first time I set it up, but didn't work when I tried a few weeks later when I wanted to add more music.

I also tried using the app "Music Manager" and this did work for downloading my whole ITunes library, but I can't use that to add one track.

What a nightmare - what a terrible program Google Play Music is! I'd be interested to hear if many others have this problem with GPM?

But I think I've seen Isyncr and DoubleTwist mentioned elsewhere as well, so I'll try these, many thanks for the suggestion and for your help

Never used GPM. But back when I was still not into streaming music, I manage my music files using MusicBee. I find iTunes for Windows a bloated mess.

Uploading music to Google Play Music on Chrome can be a little weird -- you have to make sure that the Google Play Music app for Chrome is installed and running (which just shows up as a small playback window): https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/google-play-music/fahmaaghhglfmonjliepjlchgpgfmobi. It won't upload if this app isn't running. But if you already know that and it still wasn't working with the GPM app for Chrome running, then it's probably some other glitch.

I tried everything trying to upload to Google Play Music and had endless problems. But I've now installed ISyncr on my computer and phone and this works really well. Thanks so much B.Diddy!

I have Amazon prime and use their music app in the house and car. The throughput quality is pretty good. Selection and storage options are good. Offline unlimited play lists is nice.
