Which one do you keep it on?

I'm trying to figure out why now all of a sudden my battery is draining faster. Used to i could go about 3 days without having to charge. I keep it at mid range at all times. But I'm curious as to if this would help any. I've turned off background apps and make sure all are cleared out once done with them.
Any suggestions on this one thing though?

I put it into airplane mode at night and leave it face down. Who needs to be disturbed whilst asleep?

Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep has been toggled on with every phone I've ever owned. Have not noticed any huge battery drain from it. In fact, since I don't have the best signal strength at my house, turning off the Wi-Fi uses more battery since it keeps searching for signal. I charge once a day. That's amazing you were getting a few days between charges. Hope you get the issue fixed.

Have you installed any new apps recently? Also, sometimes an app update can cause problems.

WiFi by itself won't cause battery life problems to suddenly crop up.

No new apps at all. In fact I was so paranoid it would become like my S5, I have very little installed. It's like it's in a bubble. So basically I'm preventing myself from enjoying it fully.

If you go to settings->battery, it'll tell you what is using the most battery power. Like I said, you may have an app that's eating up your battery. Especially, if there were any updates.

Like Mary Beth said, if all else fails, factory reset and then install your apps individually.

The VR and Bixby were 15% of my battery. I had to force a stop and to absolutely honest I played around with stuff last night late and 100% no clue what I've done but I let it get to 15% and charged it. At 1:40am it was 100%. It's now 8:39 and still 100%. I'm a little nervous I've done something I shouldn't have lol. Basically as well my phone will never notify me of anything probably, which isn't really what I wanted either.

Amy... Had to chuckle at your last post. I do that a lot. I'll start messing around to tweak something or try to fix a problem. Then I'll have no idea how I got to the end result. :-)

I do that all the time. I'll get something to work, then when I get asked how I did it, I'll answer, "Pfft! I don't f@#$ing know!" So then I break it again and pay attention to what I did. Lol

I recently had to do a factory vreset and I realized that I felt great after doing it because I did it almost flawlessly. I only forgot to back up my sticky notes.

Now I think it's good practice for anyone to feel able to learn to do it and tlbeco e familiar with the apps that assist in the back and restore.

Before doing the factory reset I didn't even know about SMS Backup. An app that backs up all of your texts to your email and then restores them.

Another good thing about the factory reset is that it was nice to see my phone running like new again and I free up a lot of space on my phone. Even though I have all family photos and memories already backed up on two laptops and two thumbdrives, I still kept them all on my phone anyway. The factory reset got me to re-evaluate which photos I really needed to carry around on my phone.

I also found how to make the fonts on my phone smaller and the like the new look of it.

It was a good experience, I got rid of a lot unused apps, and files and learned how to back up my phone correctly for next time.

It feels like having a new phone again.
