I brought an iPhone 3gs to them yesterday hoping it would qualify, but learned after they took the case off that my 11 year old had broken the volume rocker, so no go. My only other option was to trade in a Lumia 1020, but those are still going for 200.00 or better on Ebay, so not the best phone for a 200.00 gift card. Desperate, I searched craigslist for another IPhone 3, but realized, it wouldn't happen in time. So finally, in a last ditch effort, I went to Walmart and bought a T-Mobile ZTE Zinger phone that was marked down from 40.00 to 20.00 and brought this with me to BestBuy. I'm not sure if it was on their approved list, but they took it, and I got my 200.00 gift card. YMMV
So I'm pretty pissed right now. Just left Best Buy after waiting to pick up my Note 5. I was going to be making an outright purchase with a trade in just like last year for the Note 4. They told me that they changed the policy from last year and if you are buying outright you will not qualify for $200 promotion. Full price it has to be. Guess they got wise after last year. With full ATT price +tax it's 900+ so no note for me today. And I'm stuck with a $50 BB gift card I don't need.

Hey kodos78, were you able to transfer your contacts properly from your Microsoft account to your Android Phone? I get like a lot of copies and random email addresses... but I mean I synced my contacts from my hotmail account and somehow that's what I get. Its a bit untidy but even when I try to delete it just resyncs them. On my Microsoft Phone its not at all like that.
Well just left Best Buy and if it wasn't for the $200 gift cars I would have gone to the carrier. Systems were all screwed up and I h ave to go back to trade in the phone. I did get the charger and phone which I have to say is quite stunning. Its fast and the screen is about as clean as it can get. As for the battery nothing scientific here but I messed with the phone some and took a call for 30 minutes and have used 5% battery. The device has been online for 3 hours. I think Samsung might have a winner here.
buzzy3970,,,,,They took my T-Mobile trade-in because I'm with ATT and it is a postpaid phone. It's a ZTE Zinger Z677T. Walmart has them on sale for 19.99, marked down from 39.99. FYI, the man sitting next to me noticed what I was doing and wanted to leave and go by the phone and come back, but it would not have worked for him because he was with Verizon. His Best Buy rep, instead found one in the store on BB's shelf that would work with Verizon as a trade-in. It cost him 40.00, but at least he didn't have to trade in his Galaxy S something. Hope this helps.
When I went back they tried to say the same thing and I told them it's compete bs their the only ones that don't accept the tmobile trade in. Make the long sorry short I made her show me how she was entering it and guess what it took the trade in. Had to buy a zinger there for 30 but got the credit and also because of her screw up it didn't use my upgrade so now I still have one available so I guess it wasn't all too bad![]()
