Which Phone has better battery life? S4 or HTC ONE?

With the same kind of apps and usage, the One out lasts the S4 by some 4-5 hours from what I've found.
Dunno if it's across the board, but IMO HTC gave a bit more though to power management than Samsung did.
plus, ignoring all the benchmark stuff, IRL the One has better performance, snappier and smoother all over with much less lag.

I love the htc one i mean who doesnt?!! But I will take s4 in terms of battery life coz you can just swap battery for like 10 secs and have a fresh 100% juice again.

I am able to last throughout a day or two with moderate gaming on my S4. I may also be on YouTube streaming or listening to music. Really love the awesome battery life the stock battery has.

The S4 natively provides longer battery life and you have the option of augmenting that by swapping in a fresh same or larger capacity battery or using a Mophie case if youn don't mind increasing the form factor of your phone. However, if I were considering both devices the difference in native battery life would not sway me one way or the other as you can always add a Mophie or other external battery if desired. The BLACK HTC One looks really nice. ...as does the S4.

Also depends on your carrier. If you're with Sprint, the data connection and building penetration is VERY bad and will drain your battery. I left Sprint for Verizon when I got my One and the difference is night and day.

Beyond that, I would also recommend the Mophie Juice Pack. I have one and can easily get through 2 days.

If you don't want the bulk, try an external battery.

Had both, they're really about the same. What's notable is that the One's screen was about twice as bright while providing roughly the same battery life.
