Well for now I have a droid razr maxx, so from the looks from this forum thread, maybe I should take a second look at HTC before staying on the Moto ship.

Anything but Motorola. The moment I can, I will dump my Photon Q 4g LTE Ticks me off the way they lock it down and discourage ROM development.

Whatever the next Nexus is, as long as it's carried by Sprint.

Definitely the One. I've used Samsungs for my last 2 devices I'm not impressed enough with the S4 to move to that. It's basically my Note 2 with a smaller screen.

The One brings something fresh and new to the table, I can't wait.

Besides a beautiful design (best I've ever seen on a phone) what fresh and new does the one bring?

For me. Improved low light camera, the beautiful screen and the fact that they kept it just 4.7 inches. I almost consider that innovative considering everyone else went 5. But most of all for me is the front facing speakers. I really, really wanted that on my cell phone. I watch all my video reviews and such in my phone. That's a pretty big plus for me.

After 5 years and 6 straight HTC phones I jumped ship to the Note 2. After years of poor battery life and weird design/development choices (flagship phone like the Evo having 30fps cap, Evo3d headphone jack causing audio to go crazy, broken multitasking in 4G LTE) I decided to stop making excuses for them and switched. It is going to take a LOT to get me to switch back.

S4's got four times more vote than HTC One...
If you put the same poll in the HTC forum, it'd be vise versa...

I told you! On the HTC forum, the HTC One has nearly four times more votes than the Samsung! You owe me a backrub!

As for me, I voted Samsung. HTC's speakers don't make a difference to me because I don't listen to music, and there is a Samsung loyalty going on in my family^.^
My monitor, TV, my brothers S3... and now my father and I will be getting the S4 :)

Yet people say HTC has a better build quality than samsung, that's a big joke.

Build quality is how well its built, not what materials is built out of

Sadly, people like to see things in the way that suits their opinions and egos.

Hahahaha....This is hilarious. I see you have 2 different thread polls: One for HTC and another for S4. Which ever forum you post in that phone will have the most votes, so these polls really acquiesce to their respective phone forums.

There's a 3rd in General Discussion.

Hmmmmm Is that a fact? Never was aware that's how engineers determined that.

Surely build quality is determined by the quality of the materials.. If you mean the quality of the machinery and methods used to make it i don't think anyone cares about that.. We only care about the final product

I care about that. If the outside case if made of indestructible metal, but the inner parts are cheap and prone to short out on humid days, then I'd rather not buy it. Obvioiusly that's just a weird example, but none the less I'm probably more concerned (at least just as concerned) about the quality and craftsmanship of the *actual* working parts of the device. I generally consider the outside casing nothing more that aesthetics, especially since I generally use a case anyway...

That's kind of the point that was being made, people are referring to "build quality", but only judging this aspect based on the materials use to build the outside case and buttons, and not the internal working components.

53 people going to get HTC One?
Woooah. Impressed.

But I'm getting a Samsung because HTC's USPs dont interest me and it's virtually the same as the S4.
