which root android should i buy ?

Hello people , I need a advice about a new Android i'm going to buy, the most important part is that it is root ready, is the reason that I am changing my old s6 active, i'm passionate by Google pixel 1 or 2, but I am in the United States at the time, and i'll stay more 5 days, i do not have time to buy directly from Google, the question is simple is possible to root and gain full access to Google pixel Verizon, and if not possible what cell I should seek, speaking in bestbuy or wallmart ready, I am a bit against Samsung because s6 active left me disappointed a mobile phone with so many qualities and blocked not serves to half of their real functions, but i do accept brands little known .
i am a I.T. guy , so i really need something powerfull , with good battery and screen
