Which S8 would you get?

I have already decided I will be getting an S8, but still not sure which one. Unlocked, so it does not have the bloatware, or one of the other carrier versions for price and usually better updstes (which I read). Is one companys version better than the others? Thanks in advance, R

I'd go unlocked. I've never bought a locked phone. I've had them in my hands occasionally when helping the owner fix something, but a locked phone makes me want to take it to the carrier store and throw it at their heads. Usually, however, I don't.

I'd go the unlocked route myself. I have an unlocked S8 and so far Samsung has been delivering on the security patches . I'm currently on the August patch. Some carrier stuff may not work (WiFi calling for example). That stuff isn't important to me so I go unlocked on a prepaid plan.
