I've been around these forums for a while and I honestly don't know where else to post this.

I've been looking for a second phone to use for work. I'm not going to connect it to any networks. I'm going to keep it on WiFi and use the "Sideline" app so that I can answer and take calls. I don't care if it's Android, iOS or a blackberry OS. As long as it can use the Sideline app and won't cost me more than 80 bucks or so. Any ideas??

Pick as per your ease. You never mentioned what's your budget. If you already have a bigger phone then go for smaller one. As it going to be connected with WiFi please concern more about the battery. look for something under 5 inch and more than 4000mAh battery.

If I had a second device I'd get an iPhone of some sort to check it out since I've never had one, I have so many other Apple products and really like them.

If you are in the US, wait until November. Sites run thanksgiving deals and you can pick up decent phones for $10/$20. I got my 6 year old a second gen moto e for $10 last fall... He uses it on WiFi only, tethered off my phone.

I guess "80 bucks" doesn't work here. $80 USD is the most I want to spend for a smartphone in the office. Something on the smaller side but reliable. Love Android but would consider others.

How about the BLU R1 HD? $60 with Amazon Prime + lockscreen ads. $100 without those.

Hmm. This looks interesting. Why haven't I ever heard of this thing??
Comes with MM out of the box.

It's very new, that's why. You can't even buy the $100 one yet, I think that will be available sometime this week or next, can't recall.

I bought one as a second phone. Frankly, I'm blown away. I don't often use Android for phones (I've been using iOS and BB10), but I've used it on tablets. But really the phone works great. Battery life is fantastic (modern OS coupled with low speed CPU is probably what is doing the trick). Everything is fairly snappy as I got the 2GB version which is $10 more than the 1GB version. It is pretty close to stock Android 6.0 with the Amazon Prime Apps kind of preloaded (the icons are there and you just have to tap them to download them). I've been coming onto Android Central a bit to see if others are picking this phone up. Frankly, I think it is a game changer. It is too cheap and too easy to get through Amazon. If very good Android phones cost $400 in 2016, I think this means that top of the line phones have to drop even further in price to compete against something like this.

Another nice thing is, No Case is necessary. For $60 I can risk a drop. I won't be happy to spend another $60, but I also won't really notice the cost in my budget at the end of the month.

I'm hearing the same thing from a lot of people who have purchased the device. There's no worries that it will be damaged and gets the job done.
