AC Question

Need some help on smartwatch decision and possibly rooting device.

First off I have a Droid Razr M running android 4.1.2 not the latest 4.4.2 because of wifi tethering via foxfi not being supported after the latest update. I am planning on getting a smartwatch, either the Sony SW2 or the LG G watch (non R version) as they are both priced at about $100. Sony's SW2 only needs android 4.0 to work, while the LG G watch is going to need at least android 4.3. I need to keep that Wifi hotspot, so if I go the route of the LG G watch I will have to find a new way to do that, which I would think involves rooting the device. However, the G Watch is running android wear, while the SW2 is not which makes future support for the G watch better most likely. Any advice?

PS: I have never attempted to root my phone before, so honestly I have little to no clue how to even do that without messing something up.

I have the Moto 360 and love it, Android Wear is pretty nice. Do the update and use this guide below to root the device. Once you are rooted use an app called Wifi Tether Router and you should be good to go. That will open you up to way more options for watches.
