which unlocked version of phone??

i'm in canada. when i bought my last phone i used a chip to unlock it ( i think it was a Rogers phone) so does it really matter what i choose here?

doing a bit of research and read that depending which of the 3 i choose some things could work while others features might not.

International would be the first bet.
Followed by a Verizon one which is technically GSM unlocked and there are a few guides out there that let you flash the factory unlocked firmware on the Verizon model thereby removing all of Verizon's bloatware.
