Which version?

I'm currently residing in India for a few months and can buy the international version for a bit more, but now I'm wondering if this is the best one or if I should get a US carrier or Google version instead. Would I be able to use the international version on US carriers? I know I won't be able to use LTE and I don't flash ROMs either.

So, any advice? Is the international version worth the price of admission?
