While recording audio messages

It's so annoying that while I'm recording a voice message whether it's on whatsapp or Instagram or any other platform, if my phone is not on silent the notification sound will be included in my voice note and whatever i said won't be audible and the entire voice note will be annoying to listen to

You could put the phone onto Do Not Disturb when recording audio to prevent notifications coming through. Otherwise I am not sure there is another way to silence notifications

You can if you go system settings >sounds >volume > lower just the notification bar slider down
