White noise in background of calls?

I notice quite a bit of hissing/ white noise in the background. Just trying to figure out if this is my device only, or a phone wide issue.

I hear some too. Not consistent though. I thought it was just me. When I am in a noisy setting, it's not a problem, but when it's quiet, I find myself trying to turn down the earpiece volume only to find it is at minimum.

If you turn the hearing aide mode on, the hissing goes away, but then you can't adjust the volume.

Yes, hearing aid mode solves the problem very well. It's too bad that is has to be this way.

So then... it's a software issue rather than a hardware issue? So it could maybe get fixed in the future?

I get the same thing but only hear it in the earpiece, not when on speaker phone. Where can I find this "hearing aide" option. I'm new to thing phone but love it other than the hissing.
