On my Moto X, there are three white spots under the screen and I have no idea what they are or how they got there. Anyone have a guess as to what it is or what caused it? You only see them on light colored screens or in this picture a white background.

Sorry for the pic quality, used my G Pad 7.0 to snap these pics. I know whatever it is, it isn't software related.

Do they show up on the same spot, regardless of the image being displayed? Can you see them only in bright colors or also in dark ones? Is it visible only with low or high brightness?

It can be from pressure spots on the screen to condensation inside the glass, dust, or scratches.

Yes they show up from the moment the screen turns on, they never appear to go away and the only time I can't see them is when that portion of the screen is a darker color, like blues, black, greys, etc. On lighter colors they are noticeable and on bright white is when I see them fully.

As far as the screen is concerned, its free of any damage externally. I've tried to press on the back of the phone to see if they would move or change position but nothing seems to move. I haven't pushed hard on the screen ever so I can't see that being a problem. Could it be moisture from being in a cold car for a few days? It was in my backpack in the trunk if my car for roughly a week in sub freezing temps overnight...

My replacement phone has a white spot on the top left. I think it's a hardware issue but I'm scared to contact Motorola Care based on my recent no-phone for 3 weeks issue.

I can't send this one back due to unlocking the bootloader, at least I don't think I can.
