White vertical lines around the edges of HTC One M9?

I've taken care of my phone no water damage or any large drops. White lines also appear on boot

Are they, so far as you can judge, a part of the screen image, or something physical inside the screen?

There is nothing in the screen, it appears to be an "Image" overlaid on everything.

Have you solved this issue yet? I really don't want to have to RMA this phone again.
