White washed out apps screen

How to fix ? When i press the apps button from the home screen and go into the apps area to see apps the screen is an ugly white/grayish washed out screen. And it doesnt change with dark mode, also tried several different themes and it stays the same :-
I took a screen shot from the s21 and amazingly it has a nice black back ground, took pic of the same from a different cell phone and it shows what i see.

I have both the S21 and Pixel 5. This is happening to the Pixel 5, not the S21(as of now).
Maybe an update from Android?
