Who else cancelled their Google Pixel 6 Pro order?

Me. Cancelled it because of mediocre battery endurance rating on GSMArena, slow charging, huge size and fingerprint complaints. Would have gone with 6 if only it had an ultrawide selfie camera. Sticking with my pixel 3 till android 13 release. Pixel 3 has surprisingly improved battery life after android 12.

Yep Android 12 has made my 3XL look and feel like a whole new phone... love the new look and animations plus the new os features, it's faster and smoother than before, better battery life and with a new case it's like a whole new phone :p

It amazes me the amount of people that put so much weight and validity of these reviews. Most of them aren't real world scenarios. Why not just go through with the order and and see for yourselves instead of someone else forming your opinions...

It's P-OLED screen why you feel it this way ..phone is still Glass front (Gorilla Glass Victus), glass back (Gorilla Glass Victus), aluminum frame

You're missing out. The battery issue is because people are transferring data from their previous phones like my Pixel 4XL. My battery life has been phenomenal. I do leave Smooth Display off though.

Update fixed fingerprint issues. I think it boils down to how you scanned your finger. But that's just my opinion.

Not only did I cancel, I nabbed an Oneplus 8T 12GB Ram 256GB for $449.00. Yeh, past model but 5G and a decent phone.

Have you tried running with "smooth display" on to see how that affects the battery life? I personally, have a problem of having to turn off a feature due to the manufacturer screwing up by not installing a large enough battery. Smooth display is a feature I like and have used since day one on my 4XL and would want to run it on the Pixel 6 pro if I decide to continue with the possible order.
Thanks....

Especially with such variation. Some people say the battery life is a problem, others say it's fine now that they've used it a while. There was a lot of hate on the fingerprint sensor, but sounds like a Google update has made that much less of an issue now. Being an Early Adopter has it's risks as many of the little nags are being addressed by Google.

And the screen on the 6 Pro when tapping on it sounds HOLLOW...

That had to be the most ridiculous reason I heard for not liking a device. Some of these people read one negative thing from one person and cancel an order. So what if it was hollow? Does that necessarily mean something is wrong? Electronic parts are constantly getting smaller. The Pro is a big *** device. Maybe there was just extra room? Really people?

This reminds me of the scene in pretty women, big mistake, huge mistake, enjoy what ever phone You've ended up with :)
I took my iPhone 13 pro max 512gb back to Apple after buying it via our Apple Business account to then get this from O2 next door, and even have to put up with abuse from my daughter's and wife about how they can't send me stuff now on iMessage and still love my Pixel 6 Pro 256gb.

Now I'm playing that song in my head

Canceled my VZW 6 Pro order yesterday after watching several 6 Pro videos showing camera lens flare, no face unlock, wonky FPS, hollow speaker sound, unbalanced sounding stereo speakers, battery life equivalent to the 6 and it's wider than the S21U...so I don't want to pay top dollar for an unsatisfactory phone...so sitting this one out...staying with my trusty S21U and ZFlip3...
Camera is great, better than the z flip in all areas, battery life is very good, also way better than the flip, speakers are great, as good as my s21 ULTRA. FPS is quicker after the update but still needs to be faster and will after another update I'm sure. Don't believe everything you see on YouTube. Those ppl are paid and when they aren't, out don't get a free phone, they get upset and give bad reviews. Buy the phone and return it if it isn't for you. It's a way better phone than the flip, for less money.

I didn't cancel my order per say, because I never had the opportunity to place it lol, but after having time to think it over.. I realized as much of a pixel fan as I am, what I really wanted from a new phone was a foldable. And I knew it would be years before Google got one out, so I picked up a Z Flip 3 for my Black Friday purchase. I tried for weeks to resist the urge, but as everyone knows when you want something bad enough in the end you're going to get it :p

I haven't set it up yet, but I hope I don't regret it  ;)

I think screen off/on wise Android System Intelligence might be the biggest battery offender.

I've left Smooth Display on the past day just to test out for you. I don't have Tik Tok or Instagram on my phone. Just Twitter. I mostly cast to my Sony tv with my phone for some YT content just to exemplify my usage. These are my results with Smooth Display on:

Thanks, that's interesting. I also do some casting to my Sony TVs; however, I usually use my Samsung Tablet. However, I cast music from my 4XL; using Poweramp, to my TVs to play the music primarily for the attached sound systems.
Waiting so long for this phone, I'll probably get it and see how my experience is in the first week. If not good, back it goes and on to a S21 Ultra.
