Who got the new non-GB update ATT released?

No update out here in Co,and those who have downloaded it,have you noticed any differences in your phone afterwards?

Yes. No dropped calls so far. The GPS is still slow after a dev reset... also I noticed I can sometimes get 10mbps down vs 8 before. Still 1.1 upstream though...I did a device restore to factory defaults after the update.

Is it true that the update fixes it so tethering automatically sends a a usage report to ATT? I don't tether, but I don't like the idea of hiding what's in these updates. I haven't received any updates yet. It keeps saying my phone is up to date.

Is it a coincidence or did this small update help the GPS signal? I tried a map yesterday and was surprised at how fast the GPS signal was acquired -- and I was even indoors!!

Interesting. I was thinking the same thing. After this recent update the first thing I noticed was the GPS signal now locks MUCH quicker and even inside parts of my home. I was shocked. I

I did poke around the gps.conf and LbsTestMode and couldn't spot any obvious changes. Since the poor GPS was my main source of frustration with the Infuse, if it sticks, I'll probably just stay with the stock ROM that I restored and wait for GingerBread to show up someday .

Since the update my phone has crashed three times. It's rooted but no major mods. Just froze the program so I can use the factory tethering. I got the update with another don't card while living in Germany. I was a little surprised I was able to get it over here.

I have had a few FCs now. Just now in the browser here on AC and yesterday in gmail when I setup priority inbox as the default... the browser is working fine now on second launch and gmail is to with the default inbox settings. I still have slow GPS locks with the defaults. All I did to speed this up was change the supl URL to Google. It is still slow on first lock after a device reset or GPS configuration download... I am using GPS status for testing. After the first lock which can take up to 2 minutes it locks on in about 10s with about 40' accuracy then down to less than 10' accuracy in another say 10s...

I'd like to know that myself. I read about a change in tethering, but can't find any info on it.

no one seems to know if the update affects wifitether. Any one?

Do you mean the wood wifitether or if you can still tether over Wi-Fi. I froze the app that checks to see if you have a tethering plan so I can use the built in Wi-Fi tethering.

yeah after you root the phone and tether over wifi, when you are not paying for that service, does the new update affect the ability to tether over wifi:-$

Yes. You can still tether. I was tethering today.
