Who has problems with Signal?

Who else has problems with regards to the signal of the network? This past few weeks i had a hard time getting back the signal when its lost and its very irritating cause i cant be contacted. Is this because my phone is rooted? My dad's phone was like this too when it got rooted.

I'm in the UK currently on 4.4.2 kitkat rooted and running a custom rom. I am currently with EE and no issues in regards to signal. Rooting alone wouldn't effect anything.

Root shouldn't have any effect on your signal. Did you do any modifications to the system with your root or just root?

Simply root, for the purpose sim unlocking it.

My previous phone (An HTC Rezound) had better signal quality than the Note 3 does. Then again, the HTC had a lot of copper lining the back cover. IMO the signal strength is a bigger issue than the phone's camera (granted I'm not a photog-snob, I'm a signal-snob).
