That is true. Although it would be nice to have the aod. But I am certainly not knocking the 7x on this due to the price range

I'm honestly unsure, as I do not own the G6. However, it also has double tap to wake; so perhaps that would have something to do with touching/not touching AOD to unlock the phone. Perhaps both features are present?
