Who is ditching note 5 for note 7?

i believe it. my bro just spent a week there and he told me a 6 pack cost him $15 when in tx its only like $6-7. Cost of living is just pricier over there. Our older cousins are wowed by the fact that we dont live with our parents or with roomates.

Its true livingliving here on our own isnt easy. Having a great paying job is essential. I'm a sucker for these Note phones. I've had every note except the first one. Hopefully this will.be my last note till the note 9 lol. Yes sadly beer is way too expensive now a days. A six pack of good quality cost too much.

My local bestbuy told me their Samsung Experience guy has a Note 7 and he'll be in around noon today. I plan to go check it out in person

The thing that I am thinking will be a problem with this phone having the edge panel on both sides is when you use the pen.

When I use my Note Edge with the pen to do a screen cap, I always had to be careful not to go to close to the edge panel or the pen would slide off and I would have to try again. With this Note 7, everything goes from edge to edge so if you use the pen to try and capture a picture or something that goes off one of the edges, you won't be able to capture anything that goes off the edge.

Capturing parts of the screen is what I use the S Pen for on any of my Note phones and this is the biggest problem I see with the Note 7.

Well, I have been REALLY happy with my Note 5 but I sat through the Note 7 Unveiling on Tuesday Online... and... I think... I got bit!
Yes, I'm quoting myself - I just went into AT&T and paid off my Note 5 so I'm clear to order the Note 7. I logged out though without doing it so I must really be getting old(er) - years ago, it would have been on it's way already!!!

How much did you pay off today. I was going to sell my note 5 outright and payoff that way and have a little leftover

I am on the fence about going from the 5 to the 7. My AT&T Next plan has $500.00 remaining to pay it off. $360.00 to do a pay and turn in. Probably could sell it for $375.00 to $400.00 in my area if it is unlocked. I will have to see the 7 in person first though.

I'm wondering how the Note 7 will handle sun glare. I have a bit of a hard time with the Note 5 and seeing the screen in strong sunlight

I looked at the Note 7 today in the Best Buy Samsung Experience shop and it looked nice. I really like how the UI looks now although I usually have a theme on my Note 5 so that's probably not a big selling point for me. The thing I really hesitate about is the curved screen. The phone just seems too narrow and I'm not sure I want a curved screen when I'm trying to write with an S-pen. I feel like my Note 5 is easier to hold. My fingers seemed to be touching the screen just by holding the N7. If it had a flat screen there would be no question-- I would have already pre-ordered.

I too stopped into the Best Buy... needed to get the battery checked out on the Note 5. They did diagnostic.

Regarding the Note 7... slimmer, feels good in the hand, don't know if I like the Edge design. Little different settings and applications menu, some new categories. Looks good.

Best Buy will have available same day, 256 card when your pre order arrives or once they have in Stock.

Phone is nice and sleek, but... do I want to shell out one thousand bucks for phone, taxes, holster, accessories? I'm hesitant to do so while the Note 5 does everything so well.

If I had an earlier phone, I'd probably make the jump. My Note 5 is only 9 months old.

Nice phone the Note 7! 😏

See I thought the same thing about the curved screen until I got to touch it and work with it. It's not very pronounced of a curve at all, which I like. Alot

I had an issue with resting my hand on the screen to write causing problems. That hasn't been an issue in the Note 5 for me.

Pretty disappointed with Note 7 launch and specs. Just adding iris scanner and other software twiks does not male it worth the upgrade. Was expecting snapdragon 821 or 823 and 6 gb of ram. But that Note 7 has nothing. Just software related features like spen functionality improvement and always on. Iris scanner is just a market gimmick and its just cool nor needed. Water resistant is also the same.
What do u guys say. I am disappointed. One plus is even better than this. What do u say? Is it really worth the upgrading and who is upgrading from note 5 to note 7. Do share your thoughts !
Cheerio

I totally agree, it isn't much of an upgrade over the Note 5. Plus for some reason the Note 7 feels kind of plasticky to me, not as solid and heavy as the Note 5. Then it's only available in the edge version.. This is the 1st time I am skipping a Note. I am just pissed that Samsung limited the Note 5 to 64gb of storage even though there is not way to expand the memory.. But they gave the Galaxy S6, 128gb..smh...

While the 7 is a nice phone, it isn't enough of an improvement to consider an upgrade. Most of the software features can be added via a future upgrade. OTG adaptors work nicely for external storage.

End of the month, I will see if I can get the 7. Note 7 is just a little thinner to hold in one hand and it felt so good in my hand at Best Buy. I have $500 left to pay off my NOTE 5 from my AT&T next plan. But, damn I Waaaannnnnt that phone. Great upgrade.
