Who plans on rooting?

I intend on keeping my eyes out for devs that get this working. I want root as soon as possible. Not a developer so have to rely on the genius of others.

Yup. First thing I do after taking it out of the box.
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot oem unlock
Flash root.

Aside from unlocking boot loader, I will attempt at leaving this as is. This is the first straight from Google device with no carriers getting in the way, so updates should be timely. Will see how long I hold out lol

Using my powers so it will ship unlocked rooted with a. Custom ROM.

I'll unlock and root it via ADB shortly after I get it. I'll probably leave it stock for a while though, so I can see how well JB works on the thing. Down the road a bit I'll probably flash custom stuff on it, but I'll leave it stock (but unlocked and rooted) for starters.

Way cool! I think by the time this ships there will be other unlock/root/ROMs. The one on xda gives nothing besides the file. I don't consider my self a noob (Rezound unlocked/rooted/Rom'd) but I still need directions. Maybe still semi-noob.

Will have to wait a bit and make sure I understand exactly what's needed.

It'll be out here in quick order I'm sure.

There's some info on xda about cwm recovery. Is Amon Ra ready for primetime JB?

No idea to be honest, I'm just hoping TWRP is ready to rock sooner than later.

This might be my only android device that I leave unrooted. Stupid time Warner won't let me watch content on it if it's rooted. Unless someone has a work around...

Just wondering, but what is the difference between unlocking and rooting. Can you use stickmount if it's just unlocked?
