Who Uses WQHD vs HD

I have this little weird notion that Full HD is still the only thing our current processors are good at. Meaning if I switch to WQHD it will eat my battery more and stutter and I feel guilty. So I always put my s8 on FULL HD. Now with the s9, is it ready to use with WQHD with no lag and very little hit on battery life?

Anyone feel like me? Like sometimes I wish Samsung didn't give us the choice and forced us to use WQHD. With the option it feels like they're saying, hey guys, the WQHD is still a novelty. For best performance, use FHD.

Max resolution here, honestly never had that much of battery hit with S8 or Note 8. Same with S9+ and I'm more than happy with my battery life. Get full day easily with AOD, highest resolution etc.

Whats the difference, really?

Edit: Actully I have noticed screen stutter in Tapatalk when scrolling. Anyone else seeing screen stutter anywhere when scrolling? This is on any resolution for me.

I dont think QHD is a novelty. The option is probably to cater to different users' needs; sharper screen vs 1hr extra screen on time. Of course there are also many other ways to conserve battery life. On the smaller phone, the improvement of QHD over FHD is probably less obvious.

I started this thread with the S8+ and basically I want to get what I paid for and use it to its full advantage.

I've been mulling this exact question and wondering how much of a hit Quad HD takes on the battery vs. FHD vs HD.

WQHD messes with the third party keyboard swift key. It enlarges it into a huge on screen keyboard for some reason during inital setup. It is a bit large when in normal use, even at its smallest size setting. This could be an optimization though that Microsoft needs to work out. Or maybe it is how I tweaked my display settings...
HD+ and FHD+ keep it about the size it should be for my use, but I found that only by making the Display text size under display settings smaller helps that.
