VZW skips 4.3 on the One altogether, and instead updates to 4.4?

Moto X already got it. HTC delivered 4.4 code to Google for the Google Edition One. HTC says all One phones on 4.4 within 90 days. VZW One was first One with 4.2. All other carriers updated to 4.3 except VZW.

Are the stars aligning?

I think it's nice that you still believe that Big Red gives a darn. They are always last with updates and 4.3 will be no different. If the Verizon version ever sees 4.4 it will be around this time or later in 2014, months and months after everyone else has it. They will probably even bring it to some of their other devices before we'll see it, just because they were going to skip the phone of the year in the first place until they realized that there was still some potential here. Meanwhile when they do start rolling out 4.4 you can believe we won't see it before the Moto devices.
