who warranties a dev edition?

im really interested in switchin to att and at the same time get a phone without the bloat...if u get one of the unlocked or dev edition phones and its crap right off the bat its not just a simple process off going to the store and getting a new one im guessing....im still on my Verizon thunderbolt rooted and different rom new phone would be nice to just be clean off the bat with options to put a rom on easy but still if its a crappy one right away must have to send it in to htc I suppose

More than likely it will be HTC themselves. Honestly though this new One doesn't have the same quality control problems last year's One did
