I wouldn't. Sometimes just want to check a notification and don't want to unlock the phone.

I too am a little concerned with burn-in on phones that have AOD. But if your brightness is on Automatic/is not up too high, then that's an easy way to avoid it. I also put my phones facedown quite often and overnight. Not sure if that does anything but it helps me feel better!

AOD is usually not bright enough and some devices move the AOD around to prevent burn in.

Right! I kind of spaced about those things. I just think what I do is more of a superstitious thing than a real methodology.

Same here. I like being able to check the notification details without going to the home screen.
