I'd rather be doing things where my phone is in danger! I'm not an indoors kind of a guy. I'd rather be out riding my motorcycle, camping, hiking, or on my boat. If I'm at my house, it's because I'm sleeping or sick or having a big ol party!

I am going to be dangerous too, watch a scary movie on tv, lights off...I can be adventurous too (albeit, my popcorn will have butter on it, I am not crazy

I'm one of those who enjoys the phone the way it's designed, feel it every time I pick up plus not add any bulk and make it look ugly. Never put ugly cases on phones and planning to continue do the same on my 5X and 6P.

I also like naked phones, cases just hide the beauty of the design, I remember when I still had the Sony-Ericsson K800i, man that was sexy! I used the Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 4 naked as well. But, with the Nexus 5, I had to get a case because it was too thin and light it slips out of my hand oftentimes.

Once I get the 5X though, I'm gonna use it for a few days naked to see if I can do without a case.

I'm gonna try it naked, my iPhone's have survived all these years so I should be okay. I bought the Nexus Protect too...just in case. See what I did there?

You had a Nexus 5 with a rubbery back slip out of your hand and not that buttery smooth (as in feel not software) Nexus 4? Best you get a case for the 5X then as the back is not as grippy as the original Nexus 5 !

Anybody ever have issues with the camera lens on the back getting damaged or scratched by going naked? Are they usually tough enough to handle normal wear and tear? Using a screen protector but no case...

Me, definitely. Cannot stand cases, extra bulk and they always affect how I can use the edge of the screen.

Never had an issue with camera lens scratching etc and only ever had a severe drop and shattered screen once.

Nexus one was just too slippery to use without a case, but since then I have never used any.
The phone is already pretty wide, so I wouldn't want to add any more width to that.

I prefer going naked. But I'm concerned that the back of the 5X might not be as durable as the N5's back, so I ordered a Ringke ultra thin case.

After two days with a case, I said the hell with it...
