This is my debate right now too...
The Note 7 was my first Android device, and I was absolutely loving it until they made us give them back.
I had to settle for the S7E, and while it's doing what it's supposed to do as a S7E, i can't help but still feel a little disappointed because it's not the original device I wanted.
I am hoping to be able to grab a Note8, but there are a few things that make me a little apprehensive about being a super early adopter/pre-ordering it...
Yes, the Battery is one issue. Smaller could be an issue, stability (even with the new 8 point inspection) could be an issue, especially since a part of me wants to have it when I go away on my honeymoon in October, but another part of me doesn't want to get caught with a device that could pose a threat, considering how severe the issue was for the Note7.
But then again, the price could also be an issue for me as well. The entire Note 7 ordeal with Best Buy is still giving me issues because Best Buy/Citi Bank screwed things up and I am still dealing with trying to get it fixed. So I don't know if I want to plop that price onto my BB card, especially if I just opt for another carrier/AT&T branded device.
I will admit the rumors of the potential wireless earbuds of shipping with the device is enticing, but of course we have to wait until launch day to see if they even exist. If they are included with the Note at release day, then I could say the price might be justifiable... depending on the actual retail price.
I still miss my Note7. If I had that one still, I would probably skip this release of the Note8. Considering what I could do with the Note8, if I have it on my trip in October, then I might pre-order.
