Who's ordering Fold 7

I am seriously thinking about it. It will depend on the actual price. one thing I am concerned about. The last time I was going to break the two year cycle of getting a new phone early, it was the note 7, now I am considering the fold 7. I hope 7 is lucky this time around.

I think I'm going to pass
You and I have both said the same thing before and then we order it, lol.

I personally think if the leaks are correct that the internal upgrades are decent this time around, of course there was a lot of room for internal improvements on the folds. I am against bigger front screens, but that 6.5 inch screen might be the sweet spot. Plus the thinness and lighter might be good. I'm also hoping some of the meals saying dust resistant are true, although I've never had a issue with dust yet.

I'm 99% sure I'm going to pre-order today, I really like all the upgrades they made this year from what has been leaked. I'm okay with no S pen if that holds true since I rarely use it now other than my Tab.

I'm not fond of the rumored leak of no UDC on inside screen. It's nice having the full screen without a camera cut out. Samsung actually had the UDC right. There's no zoom call or video call that requires high tech camera, if it does use the front camera, be no different then using a S series phone. I can't imagine taking a selfie with the fold open not being awkward at best.

Samsung, charge me $200 more for no camera on inside screen. I thought the UDC was a decent compromise, but people have to complain about things that really don't matter in the big scope of things.

All depends if it has any S pen support or not. First the rumor was yes. Now the leak of the official marketing materials makes no mention of it.
Same here. Unfortunately, only way to show we disagree with Samsung ditching the S-Pen is by not buying the Fold 7. Otherwise, they think no one cares and continue on as if nothing happened.

I know that the reasoning behind it will be "only a small segment of customers used the S-Pen"... so, why not lower the cost since they are removing a significant feature. And I'm aware most folks don't really care about the S-pen.

I'd wager not alot of folks use it with their S Ultra phone... which is why theres discussions among Samsung removing the silo in favor of adding more battery. And the Fold 7 no longer have the UDC, supposedly something to do with not wanting to pay the license/fee to use it.

I like owning the Galaxy Fold... it's my favorite device, but it appears the Fold 7 will be a pass for me.

That's disappointing to me for sure.

I would think Spen support on the fold phones would be more important on then the S series as there's more screen real estate to use it on. I don't use the Spen on my S 25U, but it doesn't bother me it's there. If Samsung doesn't continue the Spen support for the fold 7, IMO it's probably because it's sold as an accessory and as a whole it doesn't sell enough to justify the bottom line for profits, the S series it's forced on people.

I have that also, but it's in a case and I don't see it anyway, so colors really don't matter to me much anymore. I'm not wanting to give up the UDC myself.
Majority of the time mine in a case to use the SPen but I do once in awhile keep it off to feel the texture but leave front cover on ,I don't care for the new chip or cameras upgrades

Yeah, I understand that point of not justifying the bottom line… but that’s primarily due to adding the digitizer to the Galaxy Fold. Now, they removed that layer from screen… it allows them to not support the S-Pen.

But my hope is that there will be a new S-Pen (similar to an Apple Pencil) that will allow stylus functionality for the Galaxy Fold. At least that’s what the leaker PandaFlashPro has indicated… but he’s been mixed on whether or not Samsung actually implemented on the Fold. Last post they made was about how Samsung has fixed the Software S-Pen reading on the Galaxy Fold.

But who’s to know if that was true or not… we will find out shortly!
