Ordered mine Thursday. My P6 is having some battery issues.

Received today (5/11). Setting up now. Obsidian 256GB.

Liking the more rounded corners. Fits in hand easier than the 6. Plastic back is grippier than the glass on the 6.

We will probably get one for my Other Half, whose Pixel 5a goes EOL in August, but we won’t be an early purchaser.

I'm curious about the poor PWM dimming thing I read about only on the AC review last week. No one else mentioned it in reviews, but now reading it again it's not confined to the 8a model.

I'm thinking of a 24 month phone + sim plan for the first time in 12 years; and seeking the best bang for the bucks. The 8a has some decent deals here, although I would lean toward the regular Pixel 8 if similarly available and the outright purchase price is now similar.

Has this been discussed before on the 8's and 7's etc.?

Seems a prominent omission to me, whether you are highly susceptible to flickering, or mildly so.

Not disrespecting anyone's choice. I would think most people who purchased a Pixel were not aware of it.

Got mine on the 11th. Have had no issues. Like the feel and texture on the back better than the 6 I came from.

Rounded edges are very nice.

The phone has just worked. Have not had any issues thus far.

Google Fi has them for 299.00 with a 120 day activation commitment...just FYI
