Who's ordering the S25?

Becare ful the rings on Camera on it are easy to come off
Few complaints on new devices they are coming off found this video as well.

Plus they are going back to square on S26 Ultra.

I'm late to the party this time. Wasn't feeling well until late this week. Got my pre-order in on Jan 28th, first time that I missed out on the first batch of shipping. Still says delivery by Feb 7th.

But given that I like new toys, it pains me that I haven't got my hands on S25U yet

First world problems !!!
I ordered mine around same time, I went with the jet black so not till Feb 26th, which is fine I'm not in a hurry as if I would have been I would have ordered release date. I now have time to change my mind yet.

Tell you one thing, the things you can choose to get with your pre-order credit is limited when you wait. It was pretty much useless for me, just got the rugged case and ear buds 3. The ear buds will be up for sale on Facebook market for $75 when I get them, I already have the pro 3 set so don't need these.

This has been the most annoying, difficult activating of a phone I've ever had.

Can't activate until tomorrow because of the order date Verizon says. This is infuriating!

Because of the order date, what's that have to do with anything?

This is Verizon, call again, you can call 3 reps and get 3 different answers. I would keep trying, you might have gotten one of the reps can only go screen by screen for instructions and don't know how to go around the system

I just got it fixed. This guy had no idea what the previous rep was talking about lol.

Quite a bit to learn from the s22 ultra. I do hate having to use 2 buttons to simply restart or power off the phone

You know what I found a bit concerning... not that the camera rings were glued on and with some force can be popped off (But I found that a kind of a head scratcher why they would put big thick bordered covers on the lenses instead of going with a clean minimal look like the S23U to go with the thin bezel look at the front).

What I found concerning was that when Jerry was trying to pry off the cap with his blade that it was lifting the edge of the rear glass from the frame @ the 6:45 mark of his video and separating the adhesive.

I doubt that anyone is going to experience a cover popping off in even a heavy drop or causing a lift in the rear glass like that. But it was still odd to see.

I'm on Verizon with unlocked phone and I have visual voicemail. Maybe there's something I'm missing, but I can listen to it or read it thru the voicemail app
Thanks, I took the chance and got one Unlocked. I waited 2 days after it arrived to switch over, dreading I'd have to call Verizon and needing hours. It took a little bit of effort but seems like VVM is working ok so far.

Most likely because of the high price for almost the same phone. Most people have no idea about S-pen changes.

And I bet most people don't care about no Bluetooth on spen.

Not to mention I could have upgraded to the 25 plus for $319. I switched to the ultra and that was double for same traded in phone. My guess the price has more to do with it, and the economy isn't great so that will play a factor in it also. With the carriers deals the 25 and 25 plus were free, that will play a role also.

There really wasn't much to go to the ultra over the plus, the spen and camera upgrades were main differences, which most probably don't care for those changes.

I ordered the S25+ thru AT&T and it was free with a trade in of any Samsung "S" or "Z"phone in any condition. That's a strong motivation if you don't mind being tied to a carrier which I don't. I didn't consider the Ultra because its too big for me. The lack of Bluetooth was not a factor.

A few days later I now changed the order to the base Model S25 with 512 GB in Navy Blue. Reasons: I saw the first video reviews of the Ultra Model with the flat sides and it really reminded me on a brick. I always eyed on the smaller S24 model last year, but now the S25 has bigger storage options, Qualcomm processor instead of Exinos... and I really fell in love with the navy blue colour when I saw it in the video reviews
After testing the small S25 for a week I have to say: It would be the perfect phone for me if it had better cameras. They tweaked the processing a little bit and it is slightly better than the S24, but unfortunately in zoom and low light still not even near the Ultra. So I switched to the big boy in titanium black 20250215_191747.jpg

Finally jumped in. Not for me, but for my son. We are using his current Galaxy S9 (previously mine) as a trade-in for an S25, Icyblue, through AT&T. They are still running the "any year, any condition" promotion - but probably not for much longer. Since we had to bump the storage to 256GB, we will have to pay $1.67 a month. Would have been "free" otherwise.

Still, not a bad deal.

Should get it in about a week.

Well, that was quick. Came in yesterday. Just did an initial setup, including getting the Feb security update. Did not do the SIM activation yet.

Waiting for the case to come in tomorrow before letting the 15-year-old loose with it. Then I'll transfer everything over since he still needs the old phone while we wait for the case.
