being taken to playstore from homescreen every time i unlock my phone

i use a galaxy s4
since i updated to 5.0.1 lolipop i have been getting taken to the playstore page of some stupid game or something every time i unlock my phone.
sometimes it asks what browser i would like to use when i unlock my phone. i hit the back button and it takes me to the playstore anyway.
100% of the time its for some stupid game or something else i dont have or want.
i have scanned my phone many times with various virus scanners and it comes up clean every time.

Re: being taken to playstore from homescreen every time i unlock my phone

If you updated it by rooting or downloading the firmware through the internet then someone might have planted it in the phone to make them some advertising revenue, if not then delete any app that isn't by a big and trusted company. Use a task manager to see which apps run on start up as this can help you to identify the culprit
