Android Central Question

Hello I need some expert advice here please....I've been trying to fix this for days. I'm running Android 7 with modem "Fritz!Box 6490 Cable". When I try wireless I keep getting "Authentication" failure so obviously no internet .
So on a guide at https://forums.androidcentral.com/ambassador-guides-tips-how-tos/326698-guide-troubleshooting-wi-fi-connection-problems.html
....."3. See if the router’s security is interfering. ......."
having tried everything else I momentarily switched off all security on the modem and everything worked...connected! When I then tried all the separate protocols...back to same problem. On a Windows 10 rig, internet no problem. Now that I know its a security problem, what's my next step? I'm going nuts here, any help much appreciated

I've tried all other protocols...from my first post...."When I then tried all the separate protocols...back to same problem.".all bring "authentication" problem. I only get internet access when I completely switch out security

Wiping Cache didn't bring any change. Just to recap, may be something relevant....
Telephone Mobile "Wki Lenny 4 Plus" and a tablet "XIDO X110/3G" both show authentication problem.
TV Box MXQPro, "Wiki Lenny 4" and both Win10 desktops have no problem (although recently one WIN10 Installation has been dropping the internet connection...s. Attach....although this may be a provider problem). Again, with all security dropped on the Router...everything connects....so it's a router problem, or.....? And thank you for your patience.

You're using this FRITZ!Box as both a modem and router, right? You don't have a separate router connected to the modem?

In that FRITZ settings menu you shared above, can you show the rest of the security options?

Sometimes certain routers have firmware-related issues with allowing some devices to connect. If you exhaust the possibilities for a fix, you may just have to buy a separate router and connect it to the FRITZ!Box (and turn off the router feature of the latter).
