Why am I getting notifications about US events.

I've tried and failed to fix this prbkem, but I'm in Australia and I don't want automatic additions to my calendar of US events. How can I disable this? I'm sure it's something basic but I'm about to throw a brick.

I'm guessing you are talking about Google Calendar.

Open app > click on burger icon on the top left > Settings > Holidays > all your followed calanders should be listed there, touch them, it'll open up a box, from there uncheck "Holidays In The United States".
