Why am I getting only 4-5 hours of battery life on my Nexus 4?

4-5 hours battery life on Nexus 4

Hi,

since the OTA update to Lollipop I only get 4-5 hours of battery life without using it at all. All I did was listen to music for about 20 minutes and I'm down to 40% after 3 hours of idleing. On KitKat I had about 30% left at the end of a 15 hour day of normal usage.
Also my phone is always warm, even if the screen has been off for hours. Something seems to be constantly working in the background.



Is there anything I can do to fix this? Maybe without reverting to KitKat?

Usually, but you can also boot into recovery and clear the data partition.

I had the same issue on my N5, a factory reset has resolved it for me.

I get pretty good battery life with L.
