Sending pics and videos

I just picked up the moto droid turbo and tech support and customer service cannot help me. I came from the iPhone 5. I didn't have problems taking and sending pics nor videos with my iPhone 5, a few times I was able to send a pic that i previously took, however no videos that were already in the gallery were able to be sent. Only if I started in the text mode and took a 24 second video and sent it that way, which was much lacking quality. It says my pic or video is to large for mms limit, nobody has been able to help in this area. I've even tried other text apps and set the limit to unlimited. Thanks for any input. Other than that I like the phone.

Re: Sending pics and videos

According to Verizon, the maximum size is 1.2mb, which includes text, picture and video.

Re: Sending pics and videos

It's weird that a pic can't be sent. This one of the reasons why I left the android word, isn't there a way to by pass this. Its sad that i can't send a simple pic to anyone.

Re: Sending pics and videos

I just hit this same issue, trying to send a video. My old phone usually told me that the video was too large for MMS, this one doesn't even have the option. I don't ever really send videos so I guess it's not a huge issue for me personally, but it still sucks. I can send pictures from the gallery though.

Re: Sending pics and videos

Once in awhile I can send a pic, I'm a pic and video sender. I just don't want to go back to iPhone, there must be a way around this issue.

Re: Sending pics and videos

Yeah I can see how that would be an issue. But to be honest, I don't think there really is much of a workaround, unless you want to try using Hangouts or Whatsapp, which is pretty popular anyway. I'm able to share pictures by going into the Photos app, clicking on the picture, and hitting messaging. You can try that. Nothing shows up for video though so I'm still unsure how to go about that one.

Re: Sending pics and videos

I haven't tried sending videos but I have no problem sending pics using Handcent. It compresses the pic and sends it.

I haven't had any problems sending any pictures. I haven't tried videos yet but I know this is a problem with android as I've run into same problems before with other phones. If you're used to the iPhone then its tough because the iPhone compresses videos for you with nothing for the user to do, apple does all the leg work. Android is different.
