Why am I not able to use my phone when on a call?

[AC Question]

I'm having issues with my Samsung galaxy s6

when I'm on the phone with someone I'm. not able to go back to the home page or do anything else like texting writing. . anyone else have this issues?

Should be able to go back to home by pressing the home button.

With your other thread about not charging, i think a factory reset is on order. If that don't help, I'd get a replacement.

As Gator said you should be able to press the home button and be good to go. The phone can lock while on a call so sometimes pressing the home button will just take you to the lock screen.

With the number of issues that the OP has posting, sorry to hear about them. It sounds like time for a replacement or factory reset.
