Android Central Question
In Settings > Notifications > Messages it is turned to ON
However in the actual messages, each message has a little grey bell next to it with a hash mark through it noting that it is muted and I will not get notifications.
I have tried:
installing all new updates in my phone
rebooting my phone
turning Message Notifications off and on again
turning Do Not Disturb off and on again
I am able to click the grey bell and allow that particular contact person to be "unmuted" and be notified. But I am not able to change the settings as a whole so that I can get notified of all messages from any contact.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S8 Active. However this problem presented when I had a Galaxy S7 Active and when I transferred the data over, the problem came with it.
I'd really like to be getting notification of my incoming messages. How can I solve this short of individually changing every single contact on my phone?
Thanks!
