When android pie came out, I manually installed it because it wasn't readily available in my region, after that, I stopped receiving updates for my phone, I've even tried to do a factory reset.

Which country your from ? Have you tried smart switch, or maybe flash through Odin.

Welcome to Android Central! Are you using a phone that was originally from a carrier? If so, are you on a different carrier now?

Just FYI, a factory reset doesn't do anything to Android, just to apps, files and data you've added to the phone. You cn't "reset" the version of Android.

I asked the question, I wasn't registered earlier on, the phone doesn't have any carrier, I haven't reply to flash using Odin though

It's because you flashed and you're on a firmware that wasn't intended for your region. Just flash back to firmware that's intended for your an unlocked phone from your region. All regions should already have Pie now. Next time just wait for it or just keep on flashing every update manually.

How do I get the firmware for my region, I'm in Nigeria.
