Why am I unable to access my Google Play store?

am unable to acess my google play store!!!!???

it seems I have already registered my e-mail id with the store. but, now i want to stop auto-updates going on in my samsung galaxy star pro. for which, I have to access my account there! but, as soon as I open my play store, a window appears asking to enter an email and password. the problem is that when i click on >existing>e-mail id>password,, it shows that the id already exists!!
then how should i access my account and tus deactivate auto-updation!!!

Welcome to Android Central!

Try going in to your settings, application, all apps, go to the Play Store app and clear the data from it. That should reset the app.
