Bluetooth connection problems between my Galaxy s5 & Pioneer car audio system.

I just recently purchased a new Samsung Galaxy s5 smart phone with the Kit-Kat 4.4.4 OS & am trying to connect it via bluetooth to my Pioneer DEH-P9400BH car audio reciever. The phone will recognize the receiver but when I try to connect the two, I keep getting a "device full" message on the display of the receiver & an "Unable to connect to DEH-P9400BH. Incorrect PIN or password" message on the phone.

I've tried resetting both the receiver & the phone with no luck.

I had a Samsung Galaxy s3 device before & experienced no such problems connecting the two via bluetooth.

Any & all help in this matter would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to Android Central! On the Pioneer website, I saw that they had a firmware update--but this was specifically to add iPhone 5 and iPhone 6 Bluetooth compatibility: DEH-P9400BH - CD Receiver with Full-Dot LCD Display, Built-In Bluetooth®, and HD Radio™ Tuner | Pioneer Electronics USA. The reason I mention this is that it's possible the current firmware isn't completely compatible with the S5. Try contacting Pioneer support and ask them if this receiver is known to be incompatible with the S5: | Pioneer Electronics USA
