Unable to connect to proxy using mobile data

Hello, I'm having troubles with the mobile internet connection on my OnePlus One. Since two days now I`ve been getting an error whenever I try to open a website or apps using mobile data. It says: unable to connect to proxy server. As far as I know I am not using a proxy and I have tried everything to fix it, without succes. I already did a factory reset, default set the APN, tried another SIM,... What do I have to do?

Re: Unable to connect to proxy using mobile data

I have this same problem with my LG G3. Receive the proxy server error with Firefox & Browser supplied with the G3. Can access the internet with Chrome. Also cannot access Google Play Store. Not sure when this started, but it all used to work. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Android Central! Your wi-fi radio is definitely turned off, correct?

Re: Unable to connect to proxy using mobile data

I have never used something like wi-fi radio, so unless it started to run in the background suddenly without me doing anything, then no. :) I can access Internet and everything via wi-fi btw. I only have problems with the mobile connection.

Sorry, what I mean is, is your wi-fi turned on? If it's on, but you're away from home, it's possible the wi-fi is trying to connect to some open network near you that requires a proxy server. So just make sure your wi-fi is turned off, and see if you keep getting this error.

Re: Unable to connect to proxy using mobile data

My bad! But unfortunately, my wi-fi was always turned off whenever I tried to connect via mobile data. Thanks you for your help btw. :)

Re: Unable to connect to proxy using mobile data

I checked again, and under the section 'Proxy' it says 'not set'.

Who's your carrier? Have you asked them about this?
