Why can I not download attachments in my text messages when the text was sent to multiple people?

I get a text...says I can't download it..try again later..later still can't download it...happens ALL the time when I receive a text sent to multiple people?????

Welcome to Android Central! Do you have your mobile data turned on when receiving these messages? Group messages get converted to MMS, which requires mobile data to be on.

I am all of a sudden having the same problem except my issue is not jusr t with texts addressed to multiple people. . Yes mobile data is turned on. Before yesterday, attachment/photos would come through with no problem. Now I see the text part and a box that shows the statics of the download, except that doesn't look right. Message size: 32 KB (they all say 32 KB), Expires on date, a Download button, and the time MMS. When I press Download I get an activity bar that makes it look like the attachment is downloading but it just stays in that state until I get tired of waiting for it. Any advice appreciated. AT&T Samsung Galaxy S5

Try booting into Recovery and wiping the cache partition, which won't erase any personal data: Reset: Samsung Galaxy S 5 | T-Mobile Support

This solution worked for me! I'm on a Samsung Note 9 and it was Just the thing I needed.

Welcome to Android Central! Do you mean wiping the cache partition?
