Why am I unable to login to my AOL accounts?

ok so I have the note 4 on Verizon and today I ben problems logging into my 2 aol accounts I make Shure it wasn't a problem by logging in on the site every thing was fine but when I did try and remove one and add it back it sayed there was a problem and it sayed authentication failed is there a way to fix this or is it just a wate and see kind of thing also I have had both then on the phone before with no problems

I'm having the same problem on my Note 4 and on my Samsung tablet

It might be a server issue, in which case you would have to wait until it get sorted out. You can try emailing them to see if they have any suggestions as well.

Have the same problem with my aol email accounts. I was told by my service provider at AT&T that it's a AOL service issue...checked AOL on line...they are having disruptions with their email service

I didn't realize people still used AOL or even AOL still being around. I remember those CD you would get for free at the store that had free hours of Internet on them. I'd never use them though because I was a Lycos/Prodigy type of guy.

Both are still around. The email service is what people still actually use though I don't. Last time I actually logged in the AOL service was about a year ago and the chat rooms are all empty. There are only a handful of user created chat rooms that people still use but the local ones are empty. Not sure why those few people still use it but they do. You can't install AOL on Windows 8. You have to go way back to like Vista.

I was having the same problem today. What worked for me was retyping the password in the Incoming & Outgoing section of the AOL settings.

I have AOL 9.7 installed on Windows 8.1 with no problem!

I tried to install it on my Surface Pro 3 just for the fun of it and the installer wouldn't run.

I had this same issue 3 years ago on my S3. Now my AOL mail acts glitchy as well on my Tab S 8.4. Weird....
