Why am I unable to receive calls on my Note 5?

i am unable to receive calls on my Note 5

my wife and friends call and I do not receive the calls on my phone.

Does this happen only with your wife and certain friends, or are you unable to receive any calls?

Are you using this device with the carrier that it was originally branded to or with another carrier? If you are using it with another carrier, is it unlocked?

Have you contacted your carrier and asked them?

Do you have Facebook messenger installed!?! Sounds like a ridiculous question, but after replacing a phone and a complete upgrade to a new phone I finally figured out it was Facebook messenger that was causing me not to receive my phone calls. After disabling I have had no issues. My mom had the same problem with her LG G3 she Uninstalled the app as well and has been able to receive phone calls again.

I have fb messenger installed from day one, no issues at all,, sounds like a carrier issue
