Why am I unable to send emails from my GS4?

unable to send emails from gs4

hi there i have the s4 and when i go to send an email it says sending failed. when i go to setting and click outgoing settings and click done i get this. unable to connect to email server to verify account information. no response from server. i believe i set up my email in pop so that when i delete emails. it only deletes from my phone and not the server. can anyone help me

Welcome to Android Central!

Try removing the email account and then re set it back up. That will give you the ability to redo the settings.
