Why am n I seeing a smaller wifi icons next to the 4GLTE ICON?

I have the NOTE 5, and I am currently staying in a hotel for a week, and noticed every so often I'm seeing a smaller wifi icon next to the 4G LTE icon and above the signal icon. I have excellent wifi at home and have never seen this before? Any help would be greatly appreciated......

I apologize, but it only does it intermittently and can't catch a screenshot of it.

It could the WiFi sign in icon that shows up when WiFi is detected.

You're picking up a network extender.

Go to settings then more connection options then turn off wifi boost if its on. I think that might be what you are talking about.

What carrier? I am on Verizon and that icon means you are one WiFi for phone calls. This happens if you have advanced calling enabled and your carrier support calls over WiFi. Normally the phone will switch over to WiFi if the cell signal is low or not available.
